Mathematics
The intent of our mathematics curriculum at Wembury is to design and deliver a connected, ambitious curriculum, which is accessible to all and will maximise the development of every child’s ability and academic achievement.
We intend to provide for SEND and disadvantaged children so they can achieve the best possible outcomes so they can be active and influential participants in lessons and later on in life. We want children to make rich connections across mathematical ideas to develop fluency, mathematical reasoning and competence in solving increasingly sophisticated problems, whilst recognising that mathematics is a descriptive quest to describe the world around them.
